Grilled jerk chicken cheese sandwich
Fancy a super quick and easy dinner? Do you love jerk chicken and lots of cheese? Then you have to try this recipe. Jerk chicken combined with cheese in a crispy fried toast.
You need for about 6 toasts
150g cheddar cheese
150g Gouda
150 g cream cheese
½ can of pineapple, sliced (don’t throw away the juice)
2 cloves of garlic
1-2 chicken schnitzels
Parsley
Scotch Bonnet Chili (or another type of chili)
garlic sauce
YARDIES Jerk Marinade and Sauce
preparation
First marinate the chicken breast with YARDIES Jerk Marinade, then cook in a grill pan or on the grill, let cool and chop into small pieces.
For the filling, mix the grated cheddar and the grated gouda together with the cream cheese. Add the finely chopped garlic and the chicken. Season with YARDIES Jerk Sauce and add a little salt and pepper if necessary. Add a little pineapple juice from the can until the mixture has a creamy consistency.
Place a slice of Gouda on each piece of toast. Spread the mixture on top, place a slice of pineapple on top, sprinkle with a little chili and place another slice of cheese on the pineapple and finish with a slice of toast. Cook in a grill pan or grill (indirectly on the grill). If the toast browns too quickly, you can continue cooking it in the oven on a low heat. The toast is ready when the cheese has melted inside and is running out slightly at the sides. Serve sprinkled with garlic sauce and finely chopped parsley.
Have fun trying!
