Juicy, creamy, and easy to prepare, ideal for a relaxed dinner or as a side dish to jerk chicken or oxtail. With this recipe, you'll whip up a dish that's guaranteed to please everyone!
Ingredients
500 g macaroni
8 slices of cheddar processed cheese
200 g block of cheddar
450 ml milk
2 tbsp flour
1 tbsp vegetable broth or salt
approx. 100 g butter
Preparation
Cook the macaroni in well-seasoned salted water until al dente and drain. Melt butter in a pot, add 2 tablespoons of flour over it, and whisk until the flour has dissolved. Deglaze with milk and let it simmer briefly. Break up the processed cheese slices and add them to the milk, stirring until the slices have dissolved. Season with salt or vegetable broth.
Place half of the noodles in a baking dish, cover with half of the cheese sauce, and mix everything well. All the noodles should be coated with cheese sauce. Top with half of the grated cheddar, then add the remaining noodles with sauce and the remaining cheese.
Bake in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius (convection) for about 10 minutes. Finally, use the grill function for about 2 minutes.
